NewAlpha Asset Management, which selects, finances and supports on behalf of its customers innovative entrepreneurial projects, creates a Professional Fund Equity (FPCI) dedicated to FinTech.
The FinTech sector is growing and large financial transactions were played on this field during the past year. According to EY barometer, the FinTech also made a splash in the top 5 sectoral investments in venture capital. In this context, where financing solutions "early stage" suited to accompany the FinTech projects lacking however, the management company NewAlpha Asset Management launches FPCI (Professional Funds Private Equity) entirely dedicated to FinTech.
The ambition: to become the investment benchmark French player in this field. NewAlpha AM, whose main shareholders are the French OFI AM and capitalize on a team and a dedicated organization; the Private Equity team combines expertise in the sectors of the financial industry and in new technologies with the best practices of private equity and incubation.
"We will take minority stakes in building partnership relationships with high added value and ensuring an enabling environment for monitoring and valuation of our investments.We have already met nearly a third of the 140 FinTech we identified in France. Several companies are currently under consideration for a future investment, "commented Lior Derhy who heads private equity team.
NewAlpha AM can also count on a strategic committee composed of experts in the development strategies of financial services and digital, as well as entrepreneurs and experienced investors. This fund will be invested primarily in unlisted French companies in the sectors of FinTech and targets a size of 60 million euros.
