Every Friday Maddyness offers a summary of fundraisers that have shaken the French startup ecosystem during the week. This week EUR 17.08 million were lifted in a dozen operations, the most important is that of Melty that raises € 10.5 million.
This week, Melty announced it has completed its highly anticipated fundraising. At € 10.5 million, this round was conducted with existing investors Serena Capital and Bouygues Telecom Initiatives but also Jaina Capital, Accor Hotel and Patricia Barbizet, CEO of Artemis and Vice -President of the Board of Kering. An amount that will allow the platform to boost its commercial content offensive abroad, where Melty is in deficit.
Other lifted: that of Ilokyou, Nantes startup originally a self-help site between neighbors. It offers rental of objects and the exchange of services between individuals. Renamed AlloVoisins, the startup has raised 1.7 million euros from private investors and RTL France that invests in media for equity.
Other financial news of the week:
- Elaia Partners, venture capital firm specializing in digital innovation that rupture has financed Criteo SigFox, Mirakl or Teads, raises a new fund of 120 million euros, Elaia Delta Fund. In this context, Marc Rougier, serial entrepreneur, Elaia Partners will join as a partner early in 2016.
- Also earlier this week, Microsoft has announced plans to invest 83 million euros in the French startups, of which 70 million will be distributed to innovation credits to all the French Tech startups that want to benefit. The remaining EUR 13 million will be allocated to a program set up with the Ministry of Education to support the deployment of the digital school.
